Icon Project;

This new project was based on our own icon and our perseption of this icon or iconic object or material, i chose to bse mine on water as it is something that is natural and you can not live without it, i started this project by researching into water and what it is needed for why others use it i questioned people about there use and understanding of its importance, how they would cpe if they didnt have clean water, i researched into water around the world and lack of clean water.

Fanzine Fair

(Had already gone just hadn't updated my blog had it all in a journal at the time) We have a fanzine fair to sell all our fanzine's, and any materials for example postcards envelopes cakes at the fair and uca canterbury, i was selling my fanzine's for £2., i had black and white paper versions which i sold for £1 and and coloured paper versions for £1.50 i made around £12 however i didnt sell all of my zine's so i made my money back and still have other's if anyone would like to purchase one from me.

Fanzine Final Piece;

Above are photo's i took of my fanzine, this was my final piece.

Fanzine Project;

From the trips i have been on i felt that bricklane was the most intresting part to me i had some realy beautiful pieces of infomation i had found collated materials textures and drawing therefore i began to create imagery realted to what i see smelt and saw and worked up my original first hand continous and blind drawing's i began to piece them together as a collage and spot colour image.This became my strongest way of working therefore i had so muc information based on both places i had visited i began to combine the two in this format of working after a group crit in which i was told this way of working was very imaganative and that i could therefore compare the two places. I combined all my drawings, prints ect to create a long strip of collaged work that became my final fanzine that i then got printed onto tracing paper so you could see it clearly and the empty space added to the landscape of the imagery.

Fanzine Project;

Next i had a trip to london where i visited Bricklane, which i found the most intresting part i collated alot of information from my personal senses, what i saw, felt, smelt around me i did lot's of drawings from first had and took lot's of photo's i felt that the very detailed and imaganative graffiti around the area was the most beautiful and imaganative thing about the area therefore i wanted to base my fanzine project around london and bricklane as a beautiful place rather then it's sterotypical slums of london. Photo's will be added i need to make them into JPEG'S from scans in my sketch book and prints that i did after the trip.

Fanzine Project;

In this project we had to start of by collating as much primary reaserch on London and broadstairs as possible, for exaple questionaire's, drawings, historical reaserch, sterotypical assosiations and realted things with the places. The first week i visited Broadstairs as my first part of the reaserch we went as a group allthough it was an awful day, it was bloody freezing and raining so hard! we got absolutly soaked and was unable to collate inforamtion outside therefore we spent times in bars, coffee shops which i feel is the heart of broadstairs anyway as we got to see the people that live there and are there through every season rather then just at its beauty in the summer.

Candy Jernigan;

While doing the Margate project i came across an artist who collates things found materials, discarded materials, things other's think are rubbish or things that are assosiated with a subject matter or place for example. she then stores them all in little bags to document her thoughts and feelings about the place or subject matter. I found her work very intresting and diffrent and i thought it was a really intresting and imaganitive way to communicate an idea and show other's what you saw and thought at the time, above are example's of her work that inspired me to collate information in this way.
